Teaching Assistant job summary
Woodwater Academy in Exeter is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. We require an individual who is enthusiastic, conscientious, self-motivated and would like to provide a key role in enabling access to learning for our pupils. This role will involve working 1:1 with pupils who have recognised special educational needs and supporting small groups.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills; and be able to undertake work, care and support programmes as directed by the class teacher and SENDCo. We are very proud of our inclusive school and our support staff team play a vital role in enabling our children to succeed. In the first instance this post will be based in our Early Years Foundation Stage, an interest or experience in this area is desirable, although training will be provided.
Woodwater Academy is a member of the Ventrus Multi Academy Trust, a group of Devon schools who actively work together to ensure the delivery of a curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils and provides opportunities that are broad and challenging.
