What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an innovative Teaching Assistant to support students in school. You will be skilled at engaging and motivating students who find learning and communicating a challenge, in the classroom as well as during intervention groups.
We are looking for someone who is
- Enthusiastic and committed to the learning needs of all young people
- Good at building relationships with young people and other adults
- Qualified at least to level 2 (grade C or above at GCSE) in English and Maths
- Able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
- Adaptable, flexible, proactive and relentlessly optimistic

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This will be part of a safeguarding check, the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
