About this role

Ivel Valley is a special needs school in Biggleswade and we are looking to recruit enthusiastic, ambitious and energetic teaching assistants to work with our fantastic children and young people. If you think that you meet these criteria please get in touch, even if you haven’t worked in a special school before!

Our school site on Hitchmead Road supports pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 4 with the majority of students continuing on to post 16 education at our College site at The Baulk, Biggleswade.

We support young people with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and disabilities including profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autism and complex medical needs.

You will join a passionate and supportive team and will be provided with a full induction programme to give you the training you need to succeed.

The posts are permanent and full time, working 35 hours weekly from 8.30am to 4.00pm each day. Part-time requests will be considered for a reduced number of days, however the working hours are fixed.
