Teaching Assistants job summary
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Teaching Assistants - Level 1 to join our supportive and talented team at City School Snowdon Village. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
Snowdon Village are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants on a one-year fixed term contact until August 2023 working fulltime hours. Although we are advertising fixed term positions the role is likely to continue as the children move on to year 11.
Snowdon Village supports flexible working and would welcome applications from parents who may need to start later/finish earlier to do the school run.
We are primarily looking for Teaching Assistants who are able to drive and transport children but for the right applicant we may also consider non-driving applications.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, to assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo and/or INCo, phase leaders and class teachers.) Support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. Works collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Snowdon Village is the collective name for the Alternative and Special provision within the CLF. It is made up of The Nest primary setting, Engage revolving door setting accommodating and supporting students from feeder schools for 12 weeks in KS3-4, City School HQ, South and Kingswood and Bristol Futures Academy which supports Year 10 and 11 students to re-engage with their learning and prepare them for the Next Destination which is College, Apprenticeships and Employment.
