Teaching Assistants x4 - 27 hours per week - Term time + 2 days job summary
Teaching Assistants (TAs) work with all age groups (mainly 11 – 16) in all subject areas of the school.
The Special Education Needs Department manages the needs of students who have learning, behaviour, sensory or mobility difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work to support students in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis; helping with the organisation, recording and completion of work, in addition to providing examination support as required.
We are looking for applicants who have previous experience of working with children, ideally within an education setting. For our specialist roles, previous experience of supporting children with specific needs, i.e. ASC, as relevant to each post is also a must.
A good standard of education, particularly in the core areas of literacy and numeracy is essential. You may also hold a relevant qualification/training certification.
