Teaching Director of Learning job summary

We are seeking to recruit a qualified, enthusiastic and innovative Teacher and Director of Learning, with commitment and vision that will lead to continued and sustained improvement for our students.  Inappointment to this role, we will consider talented and effective teachers to join our pastoral team.  As well as being an excellent subject teacher, the successful applicant will be an effective Director of Learning of the year group allocated to them. The Director of Learning role, which comes with a TLR, supports, holds accountable and develops a team of tutors focusing on high standards of social, personal and academic development of students so that, regardless of starting point, all groups of learners in the year make rapid and sustained progress and all students are known well, tracked and supported to achieve their very best over the five years at the academy.

Applications are welcome from experienced and early career teachers able to teach throughout the age and ability range. The academy offers an excellent induction for ECTs. We actively promote continuing professional development and encourage staff to pursue all enhancement programmes.
