Under the umbrella of the Cranmer Education Trust, the prestigious Blue Coat School is seeking to appoint an Administration Officer to work in our Teaching School Hub, a small but fast growing team which supports both the induction and the career development of new and existing teachers across a wide reaching network of schools in the North West.
This is a new role, reflecting the healthy growth of our teacher development programmes and the successful applicant will be pivotal to the smooth running of an increasingly busy operation through the provision of professional business and administrative support. Teaching School Hubs are a new national initiative and there will be lots to learn but you will be fully supported with both on the job and formal training.
To be successful in this role you must be a confident communicator who thrives on building positive working relationships. You need to be well organised with a strong customer focus. The role is varied and challenging and there will be a steep learning curve but it will be extremely rewarding and you will have the benefit of being involved right at the start of an exciting area of growth for our school and Trust.
You do not need to have worked in education, what is more important is that you are an excellent administrator who has the enthusiasm and commitment to be the best that you can be.
The post offers:
• Opportunity to work within an enthusiastic, hardworking and supportive team at the Blue Coat School
• Support and opportunity for professional development in a Trust committed to success for all
• Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
Please note CV’s are not accepted.

We are very proud of our school, which attracts students from across Greater Manchester and beyond. It first opened in 1834. Our founder, Thomas Henshaw, was a committed Anglican who left a bequest to fund a school which would provide education for the orphaned boys of the parish.
From these humble beginnings, the Blue Coat School has become one of the biggest and most successful schools in the country. The school has a national reputation for high quality teaching and learning, pastoral care, consistently excellent examination results and outstanding progress. Our most recent OFSTED inspection in 2011/2 judged the school to be outstanding in every category. As a result, Blue Coat has been designated a National Teaching School which means that we work with schools nationally and locally to develop the very best educational provision. Blue Coat is grounded in tradition and history, and is evolving and forward looking. Our historic campus has been restored and developed extensively; our students enjoy picnic lunches in front of a Grade II listed building but their learning takes place in superb 21st century classrooms, laboratories and studios.
Blue Coat is dedicated to serving young people, to enable them to become everything they can be and everything that they are meant to be. We are a Church of England school that welcomes members of other Christian denominations, and of other faiths.
Our Anglican beliefs, values and worship are at the core of our life together in school.
