What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic colleague to lead our amazing English team. Our English teachers are passionate about their subject and about creating a curriculum which both affirms and empowers our students. They are also highly skilled practitioners who enthuse our students with a love of Reading. A Level English Literature is also a very popular subject in our school 6th form, which is a testament to the work of the team and how highly our students value their English teachers. Those that study this course generally go on to study a related degree at university, including at Oxford and Cambridge.
What the school offers its staff
We have excellent facilities for our students and teachers, including electronic whiteboards and visualisers in all rooms, as well as laptops for all staff. Teachers have a consistent room base for all their lessons at key stages 3 & 4, enabling them to make it a celebration for their subject and students.
