What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Team Leader of Music with the vision, drive and energy to play a major role in the development of the department. The successful candidate will be a role model for the team, leading by example in all aspects of school life, developing a strong team to ensure the best curriculum offer possible for our students.
Our Music Department has an excellent reputation with a strong tradition of performance and the ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional capable of supporting and leading classroom and extra-curricular programmes. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to teach across key stages, someone who can bring out the best in every child and make all aspects of the Music curriculum engaging.
The successful candidate will have a meaningful opportunity to shape the future direction of the department and will benefit from the support of an experienced staff body, as well as access to extensive training.

Westbourne Academy is a calm and happy school. We are an inclusive academy. We support all students, regardless of their starting point, to achieve their potential and develop the skills necessary for employment and life. Westbourne Academy is not just a school it is a microcosm of the world with students and staff from all around the globe.
