What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised Key Stage One Team Leader to join our happy, well-supported team from 1st September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional teacher who can lead by example, inspire colleagues and play a key strategic role as part of the school’s leadership team. While the initial responsibility will be to lead the KS1 team, this may change in the future to meet the evolving needs of the school.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged from any interested candidates. School visits have been organised for the following dates / times:

  • Wednesday 7th May: either 9.30 am or 2.30 pm
  • Friday 9th May: either 9.30 am or 2.30 pm
  • Wednesday 14th May: 2.30 pm
  • Thursday 15th May: 2.30 pm

The successful candidate will have the following key qualities and skills:

  • Be an experienced and exceptional classroom practitioner with a minimum of three years’ teaching experience in a primary setting.
  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage One curriculum.
  • Be committed to our school’s Christian vision, values and ethos.
  • Show passion, enthusiasm and dedication in supporting our children and families, always willing to go the extra mile.
  • Model high expectations for both pupils and staff, demonstrating professionalism in all aspects of the role.
  • Be a positive, solution-focused and adaptable leader who works collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Inspire, motivate and support their phase team effectively.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement through strategic leadership.
  • Lead one or more subject areas across the school (to be agreed based on experience and strengths).
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
