What skills and experience we're looking for
The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Technician to oversee our workshops. Our curriculum involves several practical subjects including Forest Schools, Mechanics, Construction, Home Maintenance and the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience of carpentry and/or mechanics. They will work with teaching staff to support the pupils in the teaching and learning in the department, helping prepare the lessons and demonstrate the tasks.
They will have a good knowledge of Health and Safety and be able to create a safe and organised work space. Applicants will be able to demonstrate a commitment to working with our pupils, be highly motivated, be flexible in their approach to work and have excellent teamwork skills.
