Start date: September 2021
Due to expansion, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to work in our Technology faculty. For an appropriate applicant, this is a permanent position from September 2021. Due to the current staffing and expertise, we are able to move staff around to accommodate a candidate who could teach in one or more of the faculty subjects. The Technology faculty at Redborne includes the following subject areas: Art; Graphics; Design Technology; Child Development; Health & Social Care; IT; Computer Science; iMedia; Food; Hospitality & Catering; Fashion & Textiles. The candidate would ideally have experience in their subject area at Key Stage 3, GCSE/Level 2 or A Level/Level 3.
The Technology Faculty consists of a team of 19 teachers and 5 support staff working in modern, spacious and well-equipped facilities. Technology facilities include state-of-the-art practical, theory and IT rooms and are very well resourced with equipment. Redborne is committed to a broad and balanced curriculum and all Technology subjects remain very popular both at Key Stage 4 and in the Sixth Form.
The post would be suitable for both newly qualified and experienced teachers.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and we have just opened a new classroom block and Sixth Form social area.
