What skills and experience we're looking for

Technology Teacher

We are looking for a motivated individual who can teach a practical curriculum which includes aspects of food technology, design technology, woodwork and ICT. The successful candidate will have some experience of the above but also a willingness to develop skills through CPD to enable students to access a vocational and engaging education.

This post will also require elements of delivering, maths, English, functional skills and life skills alongside promoting independence and preparation for adulthood.

St George’s School is expanding

St George’s is a secondary special school on the Isle of Wight providing education for students with severe and complex needs.

In September 2024 we are opening a satellite provision for young people with SEMH needs, St George’s Studio in East Cowes, where we will be embedding trauma informed practice, including the therapeutic classrooms approach.
