Alderman White school is looking to appoint 2 Technicians to the Technology faculty. Across the two vacancies, we are looking for individuals with a skills set in one or more of the following areas:

- Design & Technology (Product Design)

- Food

- Art

- Textiles

Vacancy 1 - Food and Textiles Technician

A professional and motivated Food and Textiles Technician to join their highly successful Technology team. The successful candidate will be required to support the teaching of Food and Textiles sessions across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will provide day to day technical support, develop and prepare associated equipment, ingredients, facilities and materials for use by the teacher and students whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Previous experience of working in a school and possession of a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given.

Vacancy 2 - Design Technology and Art Technician

An innovative, flexible and personable individual to provide quality support to the Technology faculty with a specialism around Design Technology and Art. The role will include the preparation and supervision of specialist equipment for lessons, preparing resources and materials, providing technical support to the teaching staff and pupils, classroom displays, maintaining a safe working environment, cleaning and resource ordering. The role will predominantly be within the Product Design area of the department.

Whilst the posts are offered on 37 hours per week, part-time hours (30 hours per week) would also be considered.
