Technology Workshop Technician job summary

Belper School and Sixth Form Centre are looking to appoint a Workshop Technician to join our Technology Faculty.

The successful candidate will have practical experience of wood and mental work to support our Design and Construction courses, along with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently to provide practical support and resources to our Technology Faculty.

This is an interesting and varied role. Duties range from the organisation of equipment and orders to creating and maintaining resources for lessons, whilst maintaining the workshop equipment in line with Health and Safety guidance and the requirements of the faculty.

This is a part time role for 30 hours per week , 40 weeks per year which covers term time , INSET days and 30 hours during the school holidays across the year. The working pattern for the term time days will be discussed with the successful candidate , with the aim of creating a working patten which works well for the faculty, students and the candidate.
