Temporary Class Teacher Primary / Secondary job summary
The Governors are seeking to appoint a full time teacher from September 2020 temporary for 1 Year in the first instance.
This is not a subject specific appointment. We welcome applications from candidates who have completed training across either a Primary or Secondary setting, but importantly have in-depth knowledge of literacy and numeracy strategies.
This is an exciting career opportunity for an exceptional candidate able to impact positively on attainment outcomes and contribute to the success at Haydock High School.
The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily in a new Learning Base alongside a recently appointed Lead Teacher and Learning Support Assistants.
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, caring teacher with experience of teaching children and young people in need of additional support including those with a variety of learning disabilities.
The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of the Code of Practice, be able to develop excellent relationships with our students and have high expectations of their progress despite any barriers to learning.
Applications are also welcome from new entrants to the profession for whom a very good programme of induction and professional development will be provided.
