Temporary Maternity cover KS1 job summary
The post is to cover a maternity period of 12 months (subject to notice) starting in June. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic pregnant staff are eligible to work from home from 27 weeks. We are therefore hoping the successful applicant may be available to start after the Easter holiday (April 12th).
The post is in Year 2, so any experience with this age group would be beneficial.

Worthinghead serves a mixed community in the south of Bradford. Pupils come from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds, predominantly white, with English as their first language. We are a one form entry primary school currently providing education to 214 pupils, from Reception to Year 6.
The school has excellent outdoor facilities including our Green Wood and extensive grounds.
The school teaches a broad and creative curriculum and we aim to utilise the outdoor learning opportunities fully. Our full prospectus can be found on our website.
Class teachers teach the full range of national curriculum subjects with PPA being covered by additional teachers. All classes have a full time member of support staff as well as 1:1 support for children with and EHCP and we also have 2 part time teachers offering small group and individual work.
All classes have an interactive boards and 3 class sets of Chromebooks provide opportunities for mobile technology to be used in and out of classrooms. In-school computing clinics are run regularly by the subject leader for all staff to further develop their skills and update themselves with new technologies.
