Temporary part-time Early Years Teacher job summary
Slade Nursery Schools is looking for an enthusiastic Foundation Stage Teacher (with Qualified Teacher Status) to join our friendly and established team.
Main purpose of the role: To teach within our Nursery Class
Other responsibilities include:
To assist in planning, organising and maintaining a learning environment appropriate to the developmental needs and interests of children aged between 3 and 4 years.
To develop and maintain effective communication links with parents of children in the class.
To provide within the setting a balanced, structured curriculum paying due regard to how children learn from first hand experience, play and talk.
Nurturing each child’s wellbeing to ensure they are able to fully access the learning environment.
To assist in developing appropriate curriculum and cross curricular experiences.
To motivate children in their learning and establish a consistent, stable relationship with them as a key person. There is an expectation of the teacher to present a model of clear communication and develop an enabling and helpful style.
The position is a temporary vacancy for a qualified teacher to work part time (0.8) with experience of early years and working with the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage .
The position is to start at the earliest date possible to the end of the spring term. Potentially with the opportunity to be extended for at least one year.
Pay: UPS or Teachers Main Scale, depending on experience.
