We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher of Languages to join our family of schools in our fantastic school in Scunthorpe.

Outwood Academy Brumby is one of 23 Secondary Academies in Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Being part of the Trust means that all staff have access to excellent opportunities for professional development at all levels, with scope to build a career across a range of schools.

In MFL there is a dedicated team of Directors who provide subject specific CPD and in school support to ensure that quality teaching and learning leads to outstanding outcomes for all students.

The MFL Department at Outwood Academy Brumby achieved great results (66% 5+ and 73% 4+ - progress +0.4) in 2019 and are set to continue this positive trend. Our vision is to open a window on the world to students in the local area and inspire them to be confident communicators and rounded individuals. We currently offer German in Years 7 & 8 (flexible to change) and French & German at GCSE. We also have a very keen group of students looking to start Spanish GCSE ab initio from September 2021. Therefore, we welcome applications from any languages specialism although Spanish to GCSE would be an advantage. The department will have 3 members of MFL staff from September 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or new member of the profession to play a key part in achieving our vision. A full and supportive NQT programme is provided.
