Temporary Teacher of Music job summary
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of music who will share our determination to transform the life chances of our students.
You will be joining Breckland School at an exciting time in the creative arts department. We are a small, thriving team of subject specialists looking for a like-minded colleague to join us. We are looking for a colleague who is confident enough to try new methods and reflect on how they can improve, who wants to share their experiences with, and learn from their colleagues at a time of positive change in the department, and who will put our students and their best interests at the heart of their teaching.
At Key Stage 4 we enter students for the Edexcel GCSE Music over a two-year KS4. We are also hoping to introduce BTEC Performing Arts with a music element from September 2022. At Key Stage 3, all students receive one hour of music teaching each week for three years. There are opportunities to develop and plan collaboratively in our supportive team as we continue to develop and enhance our curriculum.
If you would like to work in a supportive, progressive creative arts department, where you have the opportunity to teach your subject, where behaviour management is not an issue, and where your contributions are valued, we would like to hear from you.
This post is temporary for the summer term 2022.
Breckland School is a good and improving school well regarded by the local community with whom it works closely. Staff enjoy working here and our students are well behaved and keen to learn.
