Temporary Teacher of Science / Health & Social Care job summary
Temporary Teacher of Science / Health & Social Care
Approximately 0.5 FTE for each area (that could be combined to a full-time post)
MPS/UPS
Required for a temporary role from January 2020 until the end of the Summer term in the first instance, with a possibility of further extension. This would suit either a Science teacher (ideally who can teach Health and Social Care) or a Health and Social Care teacher (ideally who can teacher KS3 Science). We would consider a more experienced teacher wanting a new challenge or an exceptional newly qualified teacher.
The type of teacher we want to appoint:
• has a degree in a Science specialism
• is a dynamic and innovative classroom practitioner
• is able to teach the full ability range
• is creative with the flair and vision to identify and develop cross-curricular themes and links
• enjoys good relationships with students and staff
• is organised, efficient and flexible
• ability to teach additional lessons in Health & Social Care would be beneficial and if this is the case a full time contract is available
