What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed Teaching Assistant – Level 2 for our fully inclusive, diverse and friendly school. This role would be in Key Stage One in the first instance.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good knowledge and experience of the Key Stage One Curriculum
- Demonstrates a commitment to helping children achieve their very best
- Relates well to children and has good behaviour management skills
- Is able to work independently and confidently with small groups of children
- Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Candidates must be fully qualified and possess the relevant qualifications (i.e. NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications and/or experience).

Hunter’s Bar Infant School is situated two miles south-west of the centre of the city and is a popular and lively school with a very diverse pupil profile. We are a larger than average sized, three form entry, infant school with 270 children on roll. Classes are organised in single year groups, with three classes in each year.
