What skills and experience we're looking for

Excellent teaching skills

Have high expectations and can demonstrate a working knowledge of the National Curriculum

Show a clear commitment to putting children first

Work effectively as a member of a team

Ability to prioritise, plan and organize, delegating responsibility where appropriate to manage one’s time effectively and meet deadlines

Communicate effectively in speech and in writing to a variety of audiences, including to the children and their parents, other staff and governors where appropriate

Promote a productive partnership with parents, and the wider community where appropriate

Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of forming and maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children.

Ability to maintain an appropriate level of behaviour management

Good computing skills

Leechpool Primary School is a large, friendly, vibrant school for children from 4 to 11 years old, situated in north-east Horsham. There are two classes in each year group, with no class having more than 30 pupils. We also have a 24 place nursery within the school grounds which is open 5 days a week.

We are fully inclusive and every child really does matter to us. We recognise the individuality of every child and endeavour to meet their needs in a caring way, always challenging and supporting them to take the next steps in their learning.
