TESOL Coordinator job summary
Are you passionate about supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and helping them overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated TESOL Coordinator to join our Teaching & Learning Team and play a vital role in ensuring EAL students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

As a TESOL Coordinator, you will:
- Be a key member of the Teaching & Learning Team, identifying and resolving learning barriers for EAL students.
- Provide targeted intervention and reintegration support, working closely with students, staff, and parents.
- Track and monitor student progress, setting and reviewing targets to ensure success.
- Deliver high-quality learning support, both within the classroom and through small-group or individual interventions.
- Act as a key worker for EAL students, liaising with teachers and parents to enhance student engagement.
- Support the development and implementation of provision and support plans to improve learning outcomes.
- Assist in academy-wide responsibilities, including open evenings, parents’ evenings, and whole-school initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
- Experience working with EAL students and a strong understanding of inclusive education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting students in various settings.
- A commitment to professional development and safeguarding practices.
