The Bridge
The Bridge is a new internal Pupil Support Unit which will be piloted with students at Key Stage 3 who need additional and intensive support to improve their behaviour and attitude towards learning so that they can successfully be reintegrated into the main school. Lessons and interventions will be run by Th Bridge staff and staff from within the main school to ensure every child receives the provision they deserve.
The Role
Required to start in the Summer Term, we are seeking to appoint a manager for The Bridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, planning, delivering and/or coordinating the delivery of bespoke education packages for students identified as in need of timetable modifications, as well as teaching a percentage of timetable lessons as agreed with SLT.
The successful candidate will be required to lead the management of and oversee the alternative provision in The Bridge, working closely with the Senior Vice Principal and Assistant Principal to generate a tailored offer to meet individual needs. The Bridge Manager has line management responsibility for a Teaching Assistant based in The Bridge.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Inclusion, Safeguarding, Attendance and Pastoral Teams to ensure appropriate challenge and support for all students within The Bridge.
This is an interesting, varied and rewarding role that includes working closely with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure the identified cohort of students achieve the best possible academic, vocational, and personal outcomes including formal qualifications, attendance and post-16 pathways.

The successful candidate will:

- The ability to work collaboratively with senior management, staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for students.
- Be well-motivated and approachable with a positive attitude.
- Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise their workload.
- Have sound working knowledge of the behaviour pathways and strong behaviour management skills.
- Be flexible in their approach to the requirements of the post.
