What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist therapy provision in Frome, helping students overcome emotional and behavioural challenges and thrive in their educational journey. You will manage a diverse caseload, utilising your expertise to create tailored interventions and support their holistic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality play, music, or art therapy sessions to students with a range of needs.
- Manage and prioritise a complex caseload, ensuring effective and timely interventions.
- Assess students' needs and develop individualized therapeutic plans.
- Monitor intervention outcomes and adapt plans accordingly.
- Provide detailed reports, maintaining accurate and confidential case notes.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, parents/carers, and other professionals.
- Attend and contribute to pupil meetings, providing expert input.
- Utilise evidence-based therapeutic approaches and contribute to the development of best practice guidelines.
- Ensure a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
What We're Looking For:
- MA in a therapeutic approach (Play Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy).
- Current registration with the appropriate professional standards authority.
- Proven experience as a Creative Therapist.
- Excellent therapeutic and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt communication for diverse age ranges.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of conflict management.
- Ability to create a safe and stable therapeutic environment.
- Knowledge of relevant national policies and procedures.
