Job Title: Thrive Practitioner
Location: Newby and Scalby Primary School
Contract: Permanent, Term-time only
Hours/ Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:30-15:30
Salary / Hourly Rate: Grade F, SCP 9-13 £26,409 - £28,163 per annum pro rata (Actual salary £20,109- £21,445 per annum)

Our Opportunity
As a Lead Thrive Practitioner across the academy, you will provide high quality Thrive support to children whilst modelling Thrive approaches to staff.
You will create and maintain plans that will aid children and staff to understand emotions and how best to work together in dealing with them in a conducive way. These plans and strategies will support behaviour and relationship management whilst ensuring a positive learning environment for all.
You will:
- Provide a positive image of the academy in all dealings with parents/carers, visitors and outside agencies
- Need good IT skills
- Need to create Behaviour Plans for children
- Create and manage Thrive Action Plans across the academy
- Create Relationship Support Plans
- Be responsible for assigning appropriate for children across the academy
- Model support at break/lunchtimes as well as in classrooms
- Reviewing and measuring data on Thrive Online’s assessment tool
- Work alongside SLT, SENCO, Headteacher and Pastoral Support Team
- Report regularly to the SLT
- Request, organise and deliver staff meetings where needed
- Develop a trauma-informed approach that works alongside the school’s ethos
- Be compassionate and empathetic
- Have the capacity to reflect on professional practice
