Trust Behaviour & Relationships Specialist job summary

We are looking to appoint a Behaviour and Relationship Specialist to work across our two amazing schools.

The Trust Behaviour & Relationship Specialist will support the Heads of School and Deputy Headteachers with Behaviour Management across the Trust. They will provide professional guidance to all staff working with students to secure high expectations of behaviour as well as the effective us of resources to bring about improve standards of behaviour of all students. This will involve the daily deployment of staff to meet the needs of the timetable and the dynamic management of staff to meet specific needs of teaching and learning throughout the day. This is a senior position in the Trust and is part of the Trust Central Team/Senior Leadership Team. As such the Trust Behaviour & Relationship Specialist, in addition to their principal responsibilities, will also contribute to whole school development, the ethos and core values of the school. This position will also be the Team Teach (or other programme) Lead for both schools.

Principal Responsibilities

To support the senior leadership Teams in determining, organising and implementing the key priorities for school development relating to behaviour for learning across the Trust.

To lead the Team Teach (or equivalent programme) across both schools. To ensure that all school behaviour policies are implemented consistently across the Trust.

To ensure that specific student data relating to behaviour; including physical intervention & case studies; is analysed for patterns and is utilised by staff to modify planning and personalise support.

To monitor and evaluate the development of the most effective behaviour strategies which raise standards across the Trust.

To lead and support training initiatives and staff meetings which focus on behaviour.

To provide monitoring reports on the behaviour of students and progress against the school development plan.

To lead the induction process for support staff and their ongoing professional development in connection with student behaviour.

To develop and maintain inter agency, community and parental/carer links to ensure the achievement of students by individual behaviour and learning plans.

To actively monitor, respond to and disseminate developments and initiatives at national, regional and local events with regards to the Team Teach (or other programme) provision.

To liaise with other schools and participate in professional networks in order to identify and share best practice with regards to behaviour for learning.

Undertake any other professional duties as set down by the Trust and directed by the Deputy Headteachers and Heads of School.

Hold the highest expectations for student attendance, developing strategic systems to ensure strong relationships between school and home.

Support and guide students to ensure they are equipped, in the correct uniform and ready to learn.

With the Deputy Headteacher regularly monitor new and ongoing behaviour concerns and ensure they are followed up and resolved.

Support Staff to constantly apply the behaviour for learning policy.

Meet regularly with each Senior Leadership Team and the Chief Executive Officer to identify trends, share concerns and ensure consistent best practice.

Work closely with other colleagues to provide support for students where behaviour or attitude is a concern.

Attend Local Governing Body meetings to report on inclusion when required to do so.

Ensure that support following re-integration following a suspension is completed.

Visits to our schools are encouraged and will be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
