Trust Communications & Engagement Officer job summary

 
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Communications and Engagement Officer to review, develop and implement successful communications strategies across our Trust of 41 schools.
Your Opportunity
You will support the Executive team, leading on communications with schools, across the Central Team, with parents and with other external audiences. You will work closely with colleagues who lead on marketing, graphic design, PR and recruitment, to ensure consistent messaging and branding. The role is based in the Trust office in Banstead, however, there is the option of remote working.
Responsibilities for the role will include:
● Develop and deliver effective Trust-wide communication
● Support more effective engagement with all stakeholders: our children and students; school and central team colleagues; governors and Trustees; current and prospective parents; other schools and Trusts
● Coordinate arrangements for functions and events
● Manage communications on behalf of the Executive team, with internal and external parties
● Support the CEO, COO and Education Director with meeting organisation where required
● Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and reports
● Lead on discrete projects as required

What we are looking for
We are seeking candidates who:
● Have a degree in a communications related subject: marketing, PR, journalism or equivalent experience.
● Have a background in communications, with experience in developing strategies to meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders.
● Are competent using a wide range of communication methods, including websites, social media, video, publications and events.
● Are able to demonstrate initiative and creativity, combined with accuracy and attention to detail.
● Show a commitment to personal professional development and a desire to play a role in achieving the vision of GLF Schools.

The Details
Salary -GLF Senior Specialist £32,000 FTE
Pro-rata salary - £19,294
Hours - 24 hours per week to be worked over 41 weeks (term time plus 2 weeks). Hours may be worked flexibly across the week, with a minimum requirement to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
Start Date - ASAP
Closing date - 20th August 2021
