Hybrid - based at The Skipton Academy

Full time, all year round with a start date of as soon as possible (part-time or flexibility around the school holidays considered for an exceptional candidate)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and strategic finance and operations leader to join Moorlands Learning Trust (MLT) as our Director of Finance and Operations. This is a new executive role in our leadership structure, offering the chance to shape and lead high quality financial and operations management across a large and complex public-sector organisation.

Working as part of the Executive Team and reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial stewardship, strengthening our operational excellence, and supporting the delivery of the Trust’s strategic priorities at a key stage in our development.

You will bring exceptional analytical skills, strategic insight and professional credibility, together with the ability to inspire confidence and build trusted relationships across our Trust community.

We are looking for a Director of Finance and Operations who is:

visionary, with the drive and ideas to take MLT’s finance and operations to the next stage of development

experienced in building and leading high-performing teams within large and complex organisations

a trusted professional adviser to the CEO, CFO, the Executive Team, Trustees and senior leaders on finance, procurement and resource planning

confident in leading organisational change and strengthening the quality, consistency and efficiency of finance and operational services across multiple settings

able to build productive partnerships across schools and with external stakeholders

committed to high expectations and exacting standards, with meticulous attention to detail
