Trust Facilities Support job summary
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated, and trustworthy Trust Facilities Support team member.
The successful applicant will be supported by the Estates and Facilities Manager in conducting planned proactive estates project work across the Trust, undertaking maintenance, repair and small-scale building work requiring specialist skills to school buildings, fixtures and fittings. The role will ensure effective management of Trust appointed contractors, support with asset management, and respond to reactive works as directed and where required.
The successful candidate is expected to be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and would need to be able to use computer software competently. An awareness of safeguarding of policies and practices is essential, and training will be given.
Ideally the successful candidate will:
Have experience of repairs and maintenance including competent use of power tools, carpentry, decorating, building and routine grounds maintenance.
Have experience of effectively managing external contractors.
Enjoy working as part of a committed and supportive team and have a flexible and positive outlook.
Be a reliable individual, experienced and knowledgeable in Health and Safety practices.
Have good IT skills and good inter-personal skills.
Have a full driving license and preferably access to own transport.
