We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will spend two days per week at Lime Wood Primary School and will support the remaining schools within the trust on the other days. This role is crucial in providing high-quality teaching assistance and ensuring continuity of support across our schools.
No day is ever the same in this role and we are looking for adaptable and flexible individuals who thrive in an environment with changing priorities.
Your job role will include:
- Working closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Leading small group interventions and support individual students to enhance their learning.
- Covering classes in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a high standard of classroom management.
- Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Supporting the implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborating with staff across the trust to share best practices and resources.
- Travelling to different schools within the trust as needed, with a consistent presence at Lime Wood Primary School two days per week.
What you will need to succeed:
Previous experience as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Flexibility to travel to different schools within the trust (Lime Wood Primary School two days per week, other schools as needed).
Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., HLTA status, NVQ Level 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
