Trust HR Administrator job summary
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support and Oversight:
Serve as a key point of contact for HR-related queries within the Trust
Provide accurate and timely first line advice in accordance with employment law and trust policy
Support and assist with employee investigations
Manage and issue contracts for new employees / ensure contract templates are kept up-to-date
Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and projects
2. Policy Implementation and Compliance:
Ensure HR practices comply with relevant legislation and Trust policies
Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
3. Talent Management:
Assist with the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment practices
Coordinate the onboarding process for new staff members
Ensure induction and exit interviews are carried out as per trust policy and analyse feedbacl
4. Payroll and Pensions
Assist with payroll preparation / liaise with Finance department to ensure staff are paid accurately
Oversee monthly pension administration for starters and leavers
5. Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
Prepare regular reports on HR activities and trends within schools
Prepare HR reports as requested e.g. audit requests, statutory reports
6. Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with the HR team and school staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Support with drafting letters e.g. contractual changes, probation, references etc
Work closely with external agencies where necessary
Oversee training requirements using online training system
Contribute to the development and delivery of a quality and effective HR service
