Salary Information
Scale Point 9 (Salary Range – MLT Support 9-12)
Actual Salary: £22,130.74 per annum
Pattern of hours: Full Time 37 hours each week Term Time Only - Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 4.00pm with a half an hour unpaid lunch break and an early finish 3.30pm one day per week.
PRIME OBJECTIVE OF THE POST
To support the administration of the Human Resources and Payroll functions in the Trust.
RESPONSIBLE TO THE PAYROLL MANAGER THE POST HOLDER WILL:
Key Accountabilities
Assist with maintaining staff records in the ‘Every HR’ and ‘Sage Payroll’ systems including inputting and maintaining employee data supporting with adherence to strict payroll deadlines
To administer HR activities associated with the entire employee cycle, including onboarding, changes to contracts and leavers processes, recruitment, employment checks, personnel files, absence management and personnel employee administration
To assist with the administration of pensions
To assist with recruitment administration, including placing of advertisements, employment applications and ensure safer recruitment practices are met in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance
To administer necessary processes for new starters, including receipt of P45, new starter and new employee forms for payroll
Support the HR and Payroll teams with any additional administration requirements
Responsibilities
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
- Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust
- Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- To support, uphold and contribute to the development of the Trust’s Equality policies and practices in respect of both employment issues and the delivery of services to the community
General Accountabilities
- Be aware of the Trust’s duty of care in relation to staff, students and visitors and to always comply with the MLT Health and Safety and Premises Management Policy
- Establish and maintain positive, constructive and professional working relationships with staff across the MLT estate, visitors, students, parents and other professionals
- Be aware of and comply with the code of conduct, regulations, and policies of the Trust
- Develop self within the post, undertaking training/appraisal as appropriate to ensure that relevant knowledge and skills are updated to support school development
Probationary Period
The successful candidate will undertake a six-month probationary programme on commencement of the role.

Given the dynamic nature of the role and structure of Moorlands Learning Trust, it must be accepted that, as the Trust’s work develops and changes, there will be a need for adjustments to the role and responsibilities of the post. They may change from time to time commensurate with the grading level of the post and following consultation with the post holder.
