Trust Investigations Officer job summary
About the Role
You will lead and manage a range of disciplinary, grievance, complaint and fact‑finding investigations. This includes conducting interviews, analysing complex information, preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings at hearings. You will work independently, using sound judgement and discretion, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
Experience conducting grievance, disciplinary or similar investigations
Strong analytical, communication and report‑writing skills
Ability to manage sensitive and complex information
Excellent organisation and time‑management
Ability to influence, mediate and work with tact and empathy
Ability to travel independently across Trust sites
Desirable:
Experience in an education setting
Master’s degree in HR or related field

Mowbray Education Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) serving the interests of over 3,000 young people, with a dedicated team of over 500 staff members. Our cluster model comprises of feeder primary schools working with their local secondary. This enables us to make sense of curriculum, transition arrangements and to build meaningful and effective relationships with families over time while educating, inspiring, and nurturing the talent of children throughout their time with us. Our original cluster is in the Melton Mowbray area and consists of six primary schools and John FerneleyCollege. Our second and newest cluster is being established in the Shepshed and Loughborough area,and currently consists of our second secondary school, Iveshead, which also brings post 16 education to our Trust.
