What skills and experience we're looking for

The Trustees are seeking to recruit an inspirational and dynamic Safeguarding & Inclusion Lead who will provide strategic and operational support for our schools, further developing our safeguarding culture; ensuring all our SEND and Disadvantaged students access the correct support to meet their needs and experience a ‘World Class’ education. The role will operate at a senior level within our Trust and it is strongly envisaged that the post holder will have an appetite, and be on track for more senior leadership roles within our schools as the Trust grows, benefiting from a highly personalised programme of Continuing Professional Development alongside our existing school leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a Trust-wide ‘safeguarding hub’ and, in time, develop a team of individuals to add capacity in this, most important area of our work.

What the school offers its staff

Schools in the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all children from the age of 3-19 where the artificial barriers of stage and age are removed. Our education aims to exceed the highest national and international benchmarks for academic achievement, whilst ensuring young people develop a passion for learning in all its contexts and are ready to take their place as active members of our global community.

Commitment to safeguarding

Finham Park 2 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Finham Park Multi Academy Trust is delighted to announce that we are recruiting a Headteacher for Finham Park 2 for September 2023. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to shape the immediate and long-term future for the school, supported by a close-knit community of other Headteachers and colleagues across the Trust. Finham Park 2 School is a smaller than average 11-18 secondary school serving communities in a 1-2 mile radius around the school in Coventry. The school therefore has a comprehensive intake of pupils. Finham Park 2 was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ in June 2018, and much progress has been made since the last inspection. The Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 120 with a temporary increase to 150 pupils in 2023 and 2024. There is real potential to grow Sixth Form provision over the next few years as part of a Trust-wide strategy. It is our belief that Finham Park 2 will become a learning community to rival the best on a national and international stage in the future. The successful candidate will lead Finham Park 2 and continue the drive to become a “World Class” school where all students have the times of their lives!
