What skills and experience we're looking for
Enhance Academy Trust is looking to appoint a SEND & Inclusion Lead to support our primary academies across Barnsley, Wakefield and Kirklees. We are keen to hear from experienced primary practitioners with a specialism in SEND who wish to impact on more pupils and further develop their experience within a highly collaborative and supportive environment.
We are a successful and growing Church of England Multi-Academy Trust currently comprising of 16 primary academies and a Post 16 Creative and Performing Arts free school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring and highly motivated teacher, leader and SENCO to join a team of experienced Trust leaders and to work with colleagues from across the Trust to impact directly on the quality of teaching, learning and outcomes for SEND pupils within our primary academies.
What the school offers its staff
As an expert in SEND, you will work closely with SENCOs and Senior Leaders to support and develop inclusion and SEND practice across the Trust.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead the development of our Trust SEND Strategy.
- Have oversight of and monitor SEND provision in our schools.
- Provide support for SENCOs, especially those new to post.
- Develop and lead a programme of SEND professional development for primary colleagues.
- Conduct SEND checks to develop the quality and effectiveness of SEND provision within our schools.
- Review and develop SEND provision in schools across the Trust working closely with our Trust Educational Psychologist, Director of School Improvement and Deputy CEO.
