Trust Wide Improvement Team Class Teacher job summary

Heart Academies Trust strives to support school improvement at all levels. The Trust is committed to work collaboratively with the Headteachers and staff at the individual schools to ensure the support provided is bespoke to the needs of each school (Cauldwell School, Shackleton Primary and Shortstown Primay). The School Improvement Team will follow a process of identifying the areas for improvement, highlighting the best resources to support the improvement and action the relevant support. We endeavor to develop staff members to allow the improvement work to be completed by existing colleagues to ensure lasting and impactful improvement. The role of Trust wide class primary school teacher will allow specific staff members to engage in improvement work without interrupting high quality teaching and learning of the class. All work will be strategically planned so the Trust wide primary school class teacher is deployed with skill to ensure the highest impact on pupil learning and progress.

They will not have responsibility for a specific class; however, be confident to teach in a range of year groups with planning support and guidance from the usual teacher and school. The role will have significant training at each school so they are confident with all procedures and processes. The role will also work under the guidance of the School Improvement Director to ensure all improvement needs are met in schools.


0.6 FTE (Can be spread over 5 days where appropriate)
