Access to Principal Development Programme

Trust-Wide Vice Principal (Secondary) job summary

We are looking to recruit a Trust-Wide Vice Principal with access to our Principal Development Programme.

We are very excited to offer this opportunity for a senior leader, with an eye on headship, to come and join us.  Aligned to one of our regions (Lincolnshire or Northamptonshire) you will be given the openings to develop your leadership experience over a variety of secondary schools within the Trust.  This will involve undertaking training, with a mentor to help train and guide you, with a view to becoming a Principal in the Trust within 2-3 years.

Academy deployment will be determined with you and your mentor, with a view to expanding your experience and ensuring that you spend time in a range of settings, developing your knowledge and understanding of school leadership.  There will also be an online and face to face training programme which will coach you in the research behind our approaches to curriculum, pedagogy and behaviour, together with wider leadership development around managing workload for staff, change management and experience of our Academy Transformation Programme.

You will likely be in, or have completed, a leadership development programme such as NPQSL or Future Leaders and are keen to put what you have learnt into practice.  We welcome applications from talented Assistant Principals through to experienced Vice Principals - we believe that we have a tailored programme to meet your needs and to broaden your experience ready to become a Principal within our Trust.

Our vision for education is :

Crafting an unbeatable learning climate through our Warm:Strict philosophy, we hold unapologetically high expectations for and of the students in our care.  We have clear boundaries, rules and routines because students deserve to feel safe and calm in school.

We value the acquisition of powerful knowledge as a goal in itself, as an entitlement for all children.  We invest significant time and resource into ensuring that students gain a wide, broad knowledge base to enable them to become active members of their community in the future.  Alongside a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum, students also experience a broad range of sport, art and musical opportunities ensuring that they have the richest experience a secondary education can give.

Our teachers are subject experts and make use of evidence-based research to ensure that they pass on their knowledge to students in the most direct and effective ways, ensuring that it is learnt, remembered and that it supports every child to achieve their fullest potential.

If this aligns with your vision and philosophy and you aspire to become a Principal within 2-3 years, we would love to hear from you.
