Turkish Tutor job summary

We are seeking to appoint an EAL 1-2-1 Turkish Tutor to join our growing Community Languages team. The successful candidate will work directly with Year 12 and 13 pupils in order to prepare them for their Edexcel specification A-level exams in their native language. The role will also involve moderation and marking of Key Stage 5 work.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher or tutor of Turkish who is currently looking for an additional job role, as the days are flexible and by negotiation. However, we require the successful candidate to be available for 2 consecutive hours per week between the start date and June 2025.

The successful candidate will

  • Have knowledge of the Edexcel specification that the students are working towards
  • be able to design appropriate lessons and resourses that support the students towards this
  • teach with enthusiasm and ambition to inspire a love of language learning
  • be a self-motivated, confident and reflective teacher of Turkish
  • be able to support in the marking and moderation if KS5 work

  • Experience of teaching at KS3 to KS4
  • Evidence of securing high outcomes from students
  • Ability to use IT to support effective teaching and learning
  • Understand and be a proud advocate of the five values of all Meridian Trust schools
  • Believe that students make the best progress when teaching is well planned and well delivered
