Twilight Cover Supervisor job summary

We are looking to appoint a motivated, flexible, and dedicated Twilight Cover Supervisor to supervise students using the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) after school between the hours of 3.15pm to 5.15pm, Monday to Thursday.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • keeping a register of students using the LRC
  • supervising students whilst they make use of the LRC ensuring that they are `on task’ and that behaviour is in line with the LRC and School Code of Conduct
  • operating a friendly and supportive ‘Help Desk’ for student queries, doing your best to assist with finding information and materials
  • carrying out any routine administrative tasks as required
  • being the main contact for external telephone callers to the school between 4pm and 5pm

The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of working with and interacting with young people
  • have the ability to manage the behaviour of students and promote good study habits
  • be an effective communicator with the ability to work as part of a team, as required
  • have achieve a good level of numeracy and literacy - minimum GCSE Maths and English
