Working pattern

Part time: The first post will be for the successful candidate to work alongside a Year 4 child for 25 hours a week. The second post will be for someone to work with a Year 6 child. The initial hours will be 15 hours per week (8.30-1130am, 5 days a week). We hope that will quickly build to 25 hours but that depends on the successful integration of the child into full time education.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for people with:

  • Experience and understanding of working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
  • An empathetic nature, positive outlook, along with the ability to set clear and firm boundaries.
  • Understanding and patience.
  • The ability to be flexible and ‘think on your feet.’
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • NVQ 3 or above.
