Unqualified teacher of SEND job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional looking for a pathway into a teaching career in SEND. You may be a recent graduate, a career-changer with a good degree or studying for QTLS, with a strong work record and an ambition to become a qualified teacher. Experience of working with children, young people, families, or adults with cognitive impairment is desirable but not essential; energy, creativity and a positive attitude towards improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs is much more important.
We have an excellent track record of supporting professionals through to Qualified Teacher Status and beyond. As an unqualified teacher, you will work in tandem with an experienced senior teacher/mentor to learn the practical skills needed to help our young people reach their full potential. You will receive full training and support towards obtaining Qualified Teacher status or QTLS. This may include a period teaching at another school, and demonstrating that you meet the Teacher Standards.

Salary: TPS Unqualified teacher scale (TPA Main scale plus SEN allowance once QTS/QTLS is obtained).
