St Augustine's is one of two Catholic Primary schools in Hoddesdon. We have a 60-place Nursery that feeds both schools and other local primary schools. We work closely with the Parish playgroup from which many of the children enter our Nursery. The school's population reflects the social diversity of the area. We have strong links with other Primary and Secondary schools and the local community, especially the Parish where we jointly celebrate Mass throughout the school year with the neighbouring Catholic school. Catholic values and teachings permeate throughout school life. We have weekly assemblies in school and also class assemblies to which parents are invited. The Parish Priest has close ties with the school and visits a different year group each week to teach R.E. lessons. Every year the Early Years Foundation stage tell their version of the Christmas story whilst years 3 and 4 perform the Easter play in the Church. Years 5 and 6 show their artistic flair by producing something a little more contemporary. The Governors are justifiably proud of the pupils, who are well disciplined and smartly presented. We are also fortunate to have a strong working partnership with parents. Please use our website for our all other information: www.staugustines.herts.sch.uk
