Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher job summary
Due to our continuing expansion the Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated class teacher to work in our popular school initially in Upper Key Stage 2 from September 2022.
The school is proud of its results and the reputation it has in the local area. Our recent Ofsted inspection report in November 2017 comments on the good quality of education and positive, inclusive nature of the school.
To join our teaching team you would need to have drive and vitality and have a proven record of consistently 'good' to 'outstanding' teaching to fulfil the high expectations that we have for our children.
The staff are an enthusiastic, committed team and the new member would need to have a willingness to take an active role in the life of the school and to share their subject expertise.
Candidates will be expected to have a strong focus on achievement and attainment and be experienced in using assessment for learning to promote progress.
The staff and children are very welcoming and visits to Singlewell are encouraged. We will be delighted to show you around and discuss the role further.

Singlewell school has a warm, family feel and is situated in a pleasant leafy site on the outskirts of Gravesend. The school has been expanded to two form entry from September 2016 and had a new building constructed. There are currently two classes in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 and one class in Year 6. All classes have support assistants. From September 2022 there will be a second Year 6 class. We are very lucky to have modern buildings and facilities and spacious grounds.
Our Ofsted inspection recognised that Singlewell is a Good school. Progress and attainment are high across the school and teaching is good. It stated that attendance is high, behaviour is good and children enjoy coming to school. Pupils are eager to learn and work enthusiastically together. There are very positive relationships between pupils and staff.
