What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for the right teacher to join Swallowfield Primary as we continue to expand to become a full primary school and keep our current Year 5 children into Year 6. In September 2023 we will be at the final stage of extending our building to become a full primary school from 2-11 years old.

We are a supportive and friendly school which sits in the heart of its local community in Woburn Sands. We are committed to providing high quality teaching to meet the needs of all our children, ensuring progress for all.

We want to appoint two committed, forward thinking and enthusiastic Teachers in Upper Key Stage 2. The appointees will work collaboratively with whole school staff and the role will involve working with colleagues across the primary range.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and a person who is supportive of the whole staff team. You will be someone who is committed to equality of opportunity for all children within the school.

What the school offers its staff

We understand that as a teacher, there are various pressures that come with the extensive work required for all pupils to make great progress. Therefore, it is equally important to us that we support and invest in our teachers too through quality training opportunities and consideration of all teacher’s work/life balance.

We pride ourselves on being a close-knit team that feels like a family. This was recognised in our Ofsted inspection in October 2021 where we retained our ‘Good’ overall rating. They also recognised that pupils are motivated and that they behave well.

Further details about the role

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and please visit our school website for further information on our thriving school.
