What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a Vice Principal to join our existing Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will lead on the development of students beyond their academic potential, ensuring all students leave feeling proud of what they have achieved and are full of confidence for the future. This role will be both operational and strategic in nature. The Vice Principal will be instrumental in achieving our vision of developing confident, respectful, responsible, and resilient learners who are fully prepared for life in the 21st century. You will take a lead on key improvement priorities and support the ongoing development of leadership at all levels.

As a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the successful candidate will have had significant leadership and cross-curricular experience and will demonstrate resilience, stamina, and optimism. A professional, creative approach with exacting standards and the ability to take people with them through the medium of coaching are essential. This role provides an excellent opportunity as a stepping stone to future Headship or wider trust roles and responsibilities. Initially there will be a significant responsibility to coordinate the work of the leadership team and to directly work with the Local Governing Body.
