What You'll Do:

* Lead with vision: Partner with the Principal to develop and implement the school improvement plan, championing whole-school initiatives that drive excellence in teaching, learning, and student well-being.
* Empower and inspire: Manage, develop, and support Assistant Principals and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations.
* Shape young minds: Oversee the design and delivery of curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
* Cultivate a positive culture: Lead the development and implementation of behaviour and pastoral care, creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed.
* Build strong partnerships: Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community, fostering a shared commitment to student achievement and well-being.

In your school

Maltings is a 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011. There are excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
