What skills and experience we're looking for
The Board are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, inspirational and talented individual who will be an active, supportive member of the Leadership Team, driven to enhance pupil outcomes and life chances.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher able to effectively monitor, evaluate and review learning progress, ensuring parents/carers and pupils are well-informed, and able to develop procedures that support learning and teaching. They will be passionate about developing strategies that support the School Self Evaluation process and provide vision, leadership and direction for the whole school. The successful candidate will ideally take the role of English Lead, be our Deputy Safeguarding Lead and take a proactive role in ensuring the school’s Health & Safety is always first class.
The successful candidate will support the Principal, manage the school in the absence of the Principal, have knowledge of Ofsted requirements and lead a key area of school improvement according to need. They will lead by example, providing inspiration and motivation for pupils, staff and parents, supporting the vision, ensuring that Every Child Matters.
What the school offers its staff
Marlfields Primary Academy is a fully inclusive school and also has a recognised Resource Provision Base for Cheshire East catering for up to 7 EHCP children with needs recognised as Social and Emotional.
There is a large majority of the children in receipt of Pupil Premium (40%) and a number of pupils who are recognised with SEND needs.
The team is highly motivated and parents are supportive of the ethos of the school which is one of being a place where no matter who you are and what your capabilities are, you are supported to reach your potential in a vibrant, inclusive environment.
The role is offered as a non-teaching role but with the expectation that there will be two days teaching within KS2 classes to support the improvements in learning and teaching.
