Vice Principal (Maternity Cover) job summary

We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring Vice Principal to join our supportive and talented team at Summerhill Academy. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. This Vice Principal position is required on a one-year fixed term basis to cover maternity leave, which is due to end on 31 May 2021 or on return of the post holder.

This role is offered on a part time basis (26 hours per week).

Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for newly qualified teachers (NQT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to undertake a Vice Principal role within the Cabot Learning Federation. You will work positively with the Principal to identify priorities and opportunities for academy improvement that support the achievement of outstanding outcomes. You will also lead on the delivery of one of an academy’s strategic aims and rigorously ensure that the academy’s systems are working smoothly and effectively on a day to day basis.

You will be an inspiring leader who, through leading by example, will promote high expectations and support the delivery of high attainment for all students. You will be an effective team player who is dynamic, creative and able to play a significant role in the strategic direction and development of the academy.

About the Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is a diverse Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in the South West. We currently sponsor eight secondary academies and eight primary academies, an all through provision, Digitech Studio School and a discrete Post 16 provision and an alternative provision which consists of one primary and two secondary phases.
